Trinity's Farm Visit

Trinity Class  went on a trip to Raveningham Farm.
This is what we got up to:

  • We got to ride around on a tractor trailer

  •  We saw, tasted and smelled lots of different plants and herbs including mint, fennel and thyme.

  • We walked around the 'Time Garden'. This was a garden in the shape of a square with each corner representing a season of the year. Depending on which season we are in, this will be where the garden looks at it's best. It also had a sun dial in the middle where we learnt to tell the time using the sun.

Where the plant is shows the time when we set off to look around the rest of the gardens (10:30am) and where the shadow is shows the time it was when we got back (11:45am).

Also on our trip we got to bring hazelnuts, a marrow, carrots, swede and radishes back with us.
Mrs Doerr tried a chilli which she found a little bit too HOT!

During the final part of the day we took a ride out to the fields where we ran through a corn field and ate blackberries from the bushes.
